Who is the New God of Cricket after the Great Sachin Tendulkar?

New God of Cricket

In his cricketing journey, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar earned many nicknames from his dearest fans, colleagues, and other cricketing legends. Some of his nicknames were little master, master blaster, and the most famous one was the God of Cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar is not only a cricketing legend for India, but he is recognized as one of the all-time greatest cricketers who ever played the game. The master blaster holds the record of earning the most man-of-the-match awards in international cricket, which shows his legacy and consistency throughout the 24 years of his career.

Tendulkar made his debut against Pakistan in Karachi in the year of 1989 when he was just 16 years and 205 days old. Back then, who knew that this 16-year-old guy would end up scoring the most international runs in the game?

He is the all-time highest run-getter in both test and ODI cricket, with more than 15,000 and 18,000 runs, respectively. In 2002, when he was just halfway through his career, Wisden ranked him the second-greatest ODI batsman of all time behind Sir Vivian Richards and the second-greatest test batsman of all time behind the great Sir Donald Bradman.

A few years back, Tendulkar was asked a question at a cricketing event. The question was which players he thought could break his records and continue the legacy that he carried for 24 years during his cricketing career.

Sachin was quick enough to answer this question when he named Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Little Master was right about his predictions as later, and the entire world witnessed the domination by Rohit and Virat in both the red and white ball cricket with numerous match-winning performances.
